LED Lighting Solutions

Littelfuse LED Lighting Solutions support all facets of the LED lighting market with innovative solutions that not only meet regulatory standards but also increase equipment safety and reliability. To help protect end-users, Littelfuse works closely with many LED driver IC suppliers, to ensure their evaluation boards and reference designs comply with safety and surge immunity requirements. They also assist LED lighting power supply manufacturers in designing optimal protection schemes for their driver modules. At the OEM level, they cooperate with luminaire and lamp manufacturers to ensure their products are optimally designed for robust surge immunity protection.

LSP10GIHP Surge Protection Modules

Littelfuse LSP10GIHP Surge Protection Modules feature the lowest measured limiting voltage (MLV) in a 20kA Imax surge rated module. Littelfuse LSP10GIHP also features low voltage protection level (Up). The lower clamping voltage allows the LSP10GIHP to provide coordinated surge protection with more LED drivers than other surge protection devices and to extend the lifetime of the luminaire. This surge protection device is self-protected and designed to provide transient overvoltage protection in outdoor and commercial LED lighting fixtures. LSP10GIHP features Littelfuse thermally protected varistor technology. The built-in thermal disconnect function provides additional protection to prevent catastrophic failure and fire hazards even under the extreme circumstances of varistor end-of-life or overvoltage conditions. It also features a built-in LED indicator that notifies when replacement of the module is needed.

Lightning Surge Protection (LSP) Modules

Littelfuse Lightning Surge Surge Protection Modules (LSP) are the industry's first series connected, 20kA capable indicating surge arrestors for outdoor lighting applications. The LSP Modules are self-protected devices that can be used in outdoor and commercial LED lighting fixtures for transient overvoltage protection. LSP10 can provide up to 20kA protection module maximum lighting surge current and LSP05 provides up to 10kA. These Littelfuse devices are constructed with Littelfuse thermally protected varistor technology. The built-in thermal disconnect provides additional protection against catastrophic failure/fire hazard under varistor end-of-life or sustained overvoltage conditions. The LSP product series facilitates surge immunity compliance to IEEE C62.41.2 Location Category C High Exposure, ANSI C136.2, and US Dept of Energy MSSLC Model Spec.
