Semtech SX1272 LoRa Mbed Enabled Shield

Semtech SX1272 LoRa® Mbed Enabled Shield combines the Semtech SX1272 Low Power Long Range Transceiver with the Arm® Mbed Internet of Things (IoT) Device Platform. The SX1272 Transceiver mounted on the Shield provides high-performance LoRa modulation as well as FSK/OOK modulation. Embedded software (I-CUBE-LRWAN) allows developers to set up a complete LoRaWAN node using the SX1272 LoRa Shield and a development board such as a STMicroelectronics NUCLEO-L073RZ MCU Board.

The SX1272 Shield is controlled through the SPI bus at a maximum speed of 10Mbps. Pass Thru pins are provided to use to connect a variety of boards. The I2C and UART are free so that a variety of sensors can be connected to the shield, and thus enable long distance control of them. The SX1272 Shield also includes a detachable antenna.
