As global building regulations place increasing emphasis on energy efficiency, indoor air quality (IAQ), and sustainability, HVAC system design is evolving beyond traditional demand control volume (DCV) and variable air volume (VAV) ventilation approaches. Engineers are increasingly required to balance tighter energy budgets with stricter air quality expectations, while also aligning with regional and international standards and green building frameworks. In this webinar, engineers will gain a clearer understanding of how advanced sensing supports modern HVAC design under these regulatory and performance requirements.

This expert-led webinar will address:

• The role of next-generation sensing technologies in enabling intelligent and standards-aligned ventilation systems beyond basic CO₂ monitoring.
• Factors driving the adoption of advanced air cleaning and energy recovery ventilation, including ASHRAE 62.1 IAQP-based approaches, filtration strategies, and the increasing importance of airflow and humidity measurement.
• How regulatory and market trends in Europe and North America are influencing HVAC system design, and how sensor technologies support improved IAQ and energy performance in heat recovery ventilation (HRV) and energy recovery ventilation (ERV) systems.

The webinar will provide practical insight using examples of Sensirion sensing technologies, including:

• SDP3x Differential Pressure Sensor – compact differential pressure sensors based on Sensirion's CMOSens^® technology, offering high accuracy and long-term stability with no zero-point drift, suitable for applications including HVAC, appliances, medical devices, and drones.

The session will be hosted by Stuart Cording, The Electronics Reporter, an engineer turned influencer with 25 years' experience in semiconductors and embedded systems, and will feature two guest speakers from Sensirion: Christian Ebneter, Senior Global Market Manager HVAC and Appliance, and Dr. Kaitlin Howell, Senior Product Manager for CO₂ Gas Sensing.
