These TE surface mount splash-proof connectors are suitable for harsh environments in consumer and industrial devices and offer a 25% smaller footprint than other TE Connectivity USB Type-C connectors. These splash-proof connectors are IPX4-rated to protect against water splashed from all directions.TE's Splash-Proof USB Type-C Connectors are designed with industry-leading EMI protection and enhanced retention features that deliver reliability and durability over cheaper alternatives. The connectors are designed to an industry standard that provides a slim profile small enough for handheld devices but is also robust enough for industrial applications. With a reversible mating interface, the receptacle accepts a plug in any direction, enabling easy, reliable mating.
