I traslatori di livello con interfaccia per schede SIM NVT4555/56 NXP si interfacciano alle schede SIM utilizzando una singola interfaccia lato host a bassa tensione. Ogni unità contiene un LDO che fornisce due diverse tensioni, 1,8 V o 2,95 V, a partire dalle tensioni tipiche delle batterie per cellulari fino a 5,25 V e tre traduttori di livello per convertire i dati, i segnali RSTn e CLKn tra una scheda SIM e un microcontroller host. L'unità NVT4555 contiene un pin di selezione della tensione (CTRL) che consente di alimentare la scheda SIM a 1,8 V o 2,95 V e un pin HIGH attivo (EN) per attivare il normale funzionamento. L'unità NVT4556 utilizza anche un'interfaccia bus I2C per attivare il normale funzionamento e per selezionare l'alimentazione da 1,8 V o 3 V per la scheda SIM. Ogni dispositivo è conforme a tutti i requisiti di interfaccia per schede SIM/Smart ETSI, IMT-2000 e ISO-7816.
