Microchip Technology MX55 Low-Jitter Crystal Oscillators
Microchip MX55 Low-Jitter Crystal Oscillators are an ultra-low jitter family of industry-standard crystal oscillators (XO) designed to maximize networking, storage, server, and telecommunications equipment performance. With typical phase jitter ranging from 160fs to 230fs, depending on the output format, output frequency, and package, these devices improve the signal-to-noise ratio. The Microchip devices also improve bit error rate in high line rate applications like 10/40/100G Ethernet, optical communications, PCI Express, Fibre Channel/SAS, CPRI/OBSAI, XAUI, and backplane SERDES links. The MX55 is an industry-leading ultra-low jitter XO family available in a 3.2mm x 5mm package. These devices meet ±50ppm total stability across the -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range using proven high-reliability assembly methods that improve long-term reliability and minimize aging drift compared to traditional XO assembly processes. With programmable output format and OE options, these XOs can be configured to be footprint compatible with any standard 6-pin XO available today.Features
