Melexis MLX92442 Induxis® 2- & 3-Wire Inductive Switches

Melexis MLX92442 Induxis® 2- and 3-Wire Inductive Switches are fully integrated latches and switches designed to sense electrically conductive metal targets in automotive applications. The switches utilize an innovative Induxis technology, which is stray-field immune and does not require a PCB, magnets, or external coils. The MLX92442 series supports factory and end-of-line programming by reducing the required component count. The switches provide industry-standard two-wire current interfaces and three-wire open drain outputs in RoHS-compliant packages. The Melexis MLX92442 Induxis 2- and 3-Wire Inductive Switches offer various protections, including reverse supply voltage, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), thermal, and integrated self-diagnostic functions to activate a dedicated safe mode. Typical applications include charging flaps, hood/trunk latches, brake light switches, inverter interlocks, seatbelt buckles, and more.
