DFRobot ST3215 Serial Bus Servos

DFRobot ST3215 Serial Bus Servos feature a 12-bit high-precision magnetic encoder for 360° absolute positioning with a resolution of 0.088°. These servos are available in 12V and 7.4V variants, delivering 30kg.cm and 19.5kg.cm of stall torque, depending on the model. The ST3215 serial bus servos are driven by a durable coreless motor and a high-strength metal gear train. These servos provide an internal 1:345 gear train made from a combination of copper and aluminum, ensuring high strength and low operational noise. The ST3215 serial bus servos are housed in a robust PA+GF casing designed for reliability and longevity in applications requiring significant force and continuous operation. These servos support four versatile operating modes that include default angle servo, speed closed-loop, speed open-loop, and stepping mode. The ST3215 serial bus servos are an ideal solution for building complex robotic arms, quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and other sophisticated mechatronic systems.

DFRobot ST3215 Serial Bus Servos

The ST3215 serial bus servo uses a TTL-level UART serial bus protocol, enabling daisy-chaining of up to 253 servos. This architecture drastically reduces wiring complexity in multi-axis robotic systems. The bus supports bi-directional communication, allowing not only command execution but also real-time feedback on critical parameters, including position, speed, load, voltage, and temperature.
