Aavid, Thermal Division of Boyd Corporation Hi-Contact™ Liquid Cold Plates
Aavid Thermalloy Hi-Contact™ Liquid Cold Plates feature a proprietary process that improves heat transfer due to close tube-to-device contact. These liquid cold plates feature a high-performance assembly using a continuous tube press-fit into an extruded aluminum plate in a variety of passes for various performance levels. Aavid Hi-Contact moves the fluid closer to the device generating heat, achieving optimal thermal performance from a tube cold plate.
These liquid cold plates further boost performance through a thermal epoxy applied to the joint. The epoxy provides a gap-free thermal interface between the tube and the plate. This Aavid series is offered in two-, four-, and six-pass versions. These cost-effective liquid cold plates are designed specifically for low- to medium-power density applications.
