Aavid, Thermal Division of Boyd Stainless Steel Tube-Fin Heat Exchangers are ideal for applications where deionized water or corrosive fluids are used and a high-performing heat exchanger is required. The devices provide heavy-walled, seamless stainless steel tubes that are expanded into the copper fin with an extruded full collar. The copper fin and the excellent metal-to-metal contact between the tube and the fin collar ensure optimum thermal performance. An integrated fan plate enables easy fan installation and acts as a plenum to ensure uniform air-flow distribution through the core, thus maximizing performance. All the wetted surfaces are 316L stainless steel.

The ASPEN heat exchangers combine low price and low-pressure drop with excellent heat transfer and superior fluid integrity. The Aspen devices feature 0.020” (0.5mm) wall tubing. A proprietary manufacturing process expands the tubes into the copper fin without the use of oils and a liquid return design eliminates potential particle trapping sites, which can contaminate the cooling fluid. Argon-purged welded joints further ensure cleanliness.

The 4000 series heat exchangers feature argon-purged welded joints that help ensure cleanliness and 0.028" (0.7mm) wall tubing. When high performance in a small envelope is required, the 4000 Series is the best option.
