STMicroelectronics ST4SIM-300M Expansion Board

STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ST4SIMV1 ST4SIM-300M Expansion Board adds cellular connectivity to evaluation boards equipped with an STMod+ expansion connector. The board incorporates the ST4SIM-300M eSIM with a Quectel BG96MA-128-SGN cellular module supporting LTE Cat M1, LTE Cat NB1, and EGPRS networks. Initial connectivity is offered by a trusted telecom operator partner.

The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ST4SIMV1 Expansion Board supports the GSMA SGP.32 eSIM for IoT specification, facilitating remote telecom operator switching. A switchable SIM interface enables developers to evaluate either the onboard eSIM or an external Micro-SIM. Modem-status LEDs, a supplied SMA antenna, and a dedicated Micro-B USB connector for firmware upgrades simplify cellular-system development.

The board works with STMicroelectronics Discovery kits featuring an STMod+ connector, including the B-U585I-IOT02A, as well as other compatible evaluation boards. When combined with a supported host platform and the X-CUBE-CELLULAR software package, it provides a development platform for cellular and cloud-connected solutions.
