L-Com Bend Insensitive Fiber Optic Cables
L-Com Bend-Insensitive Fiber Optic Cables are engineered to minimize signal loss during bending by using a low-refractive-index trench surrounding the fiber core. This low-refractive-index trench acts as a "moat" that helps keep light rays within the core, even when the fiber is bent. The bend-insensitive fiber-optic cables feature singlemode BIF assemblies in simplex and duplex configurations with LC or SC connectors. These cables are used in applications where fiber optic cables are subject to frequent bending or must be tightly bundled or wrapped.
