High-Surge MELF Resistors (HSMW)

Welwyn / TT Electronics High-Surge MELF Resistors (HSMW) are engineered to deliver exceptional surge tolerance and controlled failure performance in compact, surface-mount designs. Combining wirewound construction with a robust MELF package, these resistors deliver reliable protection against high-energy transients while maintaining stable operation under continuous load. The HSMW product line from Welwyn / TT Electronics withstands fast inrush energies up to 6.5J and protects against lightning surge events up to 3.8kV (1.2/50µs). These resistors are designed for use in power conversion and mains-connected applications where reliability and safety are crucial.
