Il driver/ricevitore di linea RS-232 TRS3221E di Texas Instruments è una soluzione RS-232 con driver singolo e ricevitore singolo che opera da un'unica alimentazione VCC. I pin RS-232 forniscono protezione ESD IEC G1000-4-2. Il dispositivo soddisfa i requisiti di TIA/EIA-232-F e fornisce l'interfaccia elettrica tra un controller di comunicazione asincrono e il connettore a porta seriale. La pompa di carica e quattro piccoli condensatori esterni consentono il funzionamento da una singola alimentazione da 3 V a 5,5 V. TRS3221E di Texas Instruments opera a una velocità di segnalazione dei dati fino a 250 kbit/s e una velocità di risposta massima di uscita del driver di 30 V/µs.
