I sensori di temperatura digitali Maxim fanno parte di una vasta gamma di applicazioni di controllo e rilevamento della temperatura in grado di offrire svariate alternative di progettazione. Queste soluzioni offrono informazioni di progettazione approfondite e circuiti per costruire catene di segnali di rilevamento usando i sensori termici più diffusi. Generalmente, il primo passo nel progettare un sistema di controllo e rilevamento termico consiste nel determinare l'intervallo di temperatura che deve essere rilevato nonché l'ambiente operativo. Il passo successivo consiste nel selezionare un sensore termico. Vi sono quattro tipi principali di sensori termici: al silicio, termistore, RTD e termocoppia. Maxim offre soluzioni complete di catena di segnali o CI integrati che possono ricevere il segnale del trasduttore termico, elaborarlo e fornire un percorso di comunicazione analogico o digitale fino al dispositivo di controllo.
