For lead-frame-based devices, the RoHS-compliant solution
is backward-compatible with lead-based processes; so the

TPS382x Voltage Monitors

Texas Instruments TPS382x Voltage Monitors with watchdog timer provide circuit initialization and timing supervision, primarily for DSP and processor-based systems. During power-on, RESET asserts when the supply voltage V_DD becomes higher than 1.1V. After that, the supply voltage supervisor monitors V_DD and keeps RESET active if V_DD remains below the threshold voltage, V_IT−. An internal timer delays the return of the output to the inactive state (high) to ensure a proper system reset. The delay time, t_d, starts after V_DD has risen above the threshold voltage, V_IT−. When the supply voltage drops below the threshold voltage V_IT−, the output becomes active (low) again. No external components are required. The Texas Instruments TPS382x has a fixed-sense threshold voltage, V_IT−, set by an internal voltage divider.

TPS382x/TPS382x-Q1 Voltage Monitors

Texas Instruments TPS382x/TPS382x-Q1 Voltage Monitors are a family of supervisors that provide circuit initialization and timing supervision, primarily for DSP and processor-based systems. During power on, RESET asserts when the supply voltage V_DD becomes greater than 1.1V. Thereafter, the supply voltage supervisor monitors V_DD and keeps RESET active low as long as V_DD remains below the threshold voltage, V_IT–. An internal timer delays the return of the output to the inactive state (high) to ensure a proper system reset. The delay time, t_d, starts after V_DD has risen above the threshold voltage V_IT–. When the supply voltage drops below the threshold voltage V_IT–, the output becomes active (low) again. No external components are required. All the devices of this family have a fixed-sense threshold voltage, V_IT&ndash, set by an internal voltage divider. The TPS382x/TPS382x-Q1 family also offers watchdog timeout options of 200ms (TPS3820/TPS3820-Q1) and 1.6s (TPS3823/4/8/TPS3823/4/8-Q1). The TPS382x-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
